Great Opportunity for Kids Producers attending SPAA Conference ABCTV Workshop – Apply now

Expanding on the Kids pre-school session being presented at SPAA Conference on Wednesday 16th November, ABCTV is offering a one day workshop opportunity for producers with pre-school projects who are registered to attend SPAA Conference.

Designed to help producers with projects at any stage of development, a panel of international experts will advise on any aspect including financing, concept development, identifying the right partner and/or co-production partners etc.

The speakers from the SPAA session, Diana Manson and Joan Lofts, will be joined by selected broadcasters, distributors and co-producers, in specialist panels.

The workshop is devoted to allowing producers to get the most from our international guests, their experience, their wisdom and their knowledge.

Applicants, you must be prepared to pitch your project to your panel in a way that fully conveys your idea with a story structure and character development forming part of your pitch. It is also advisable to be clear about what advice you are seeking from the panel.

Space is limited and will be allocated by prior application. There is no charge for the workshop, which will take place at the ABCTV head office in Ultimo, Sydney.

To apply you must:
-Be registered to attend SPAA Conference
-Submit a one page description of your project, and provide details on the type of advice you seek, plus the CV's of the creator and the producer of the project

SPAA Independent Producer Awards – 2 Weeks Left to Nominate

Members are invited to nominate another member or themselves for the SPAA Independent Producer Awards, presented by MEDIA SUPER. Awarded to SPAA members who have produced an outstanding project or body of work, which has contributed to the advancement of the independent production industry. The projects must have been broadcast on Australian television (FTA or Pay) or screened in Australian cinemas in the previous financial year (10/11).

The categories are:
