The world’s largest short film festival will be broadcast LIVE on MOVIE EXTRA, for the first time ever at 7:00pm on Sunday 22nd February! Meet the star judges, watch all 16 finalist films and share in the excitement as the winner is announced.
And because there’s been such demand for this highly anticipated event, FOXTEL and Austar will be televising it live on Movie Extra for all their subscribers, so everyone can be part of the action.
Making sure that the audience don’t miss a moment of the action, two of Australia’s best comedic talents; Adam Hills and Alan Brough (Spicks & Specks), will keep everyone updated and entertained from MOVIE EXTRA’S exclusive Tropfest Treetop Pod onsite at The Domain in Sydney.
Working alongside them will be MOVIE EXTRA’S gorgeous presenters; Renee Brack and Alicia Malone, who will bring all the gossip from the red carpet and have some fun with 100,000 strong audience in Sydney.
Amongst the action will be the ‘Chandon Pictures’ Rob Carlton who will let us know what it’s like to be a first-prize winner of this prestigious competition; how it feels watching the crowd’s reaction to your film; and what goes through your mind waiting for the judges to deliberate!
We’ll meet three directors who claim to have made "The Greatest Tropfest Film Ever" and Festival Director and founder of MOVIE EXTRA TROPFEST, John Polson, will be dropping by the Treetop Pod for a chat!
