Support for Adam Harris doc

Australian filmmaker Chris Sun this year rose to international fame when he brought Hollywood to Queensland to film his third feature film, Charlie’s Farm, which stars Tara Reid (American Pie, Sharknado) and Nathan Jones (Troy, Mad Max Fury Road) and a slew of local and talented up-and coming actors.

Appearing at Caroline Russo’s Queensland film and TV network night on the Gold Coast  this week, Chris Sun sat in the audience and listened as a budding local film-maker, Adam Harris spoke from the heart about his dream of making a documentary entitled My Saga, with his 5 year old son about a common bond they both share, Star Wars.

Adam’s story is more than just about Star Wars, it’s about family and how when in October 2010 he was diagnosed with a brain tumour and it set him on a path of chasing his dreams.

Adam was crowd-funding through the Kickstarter website for the remaining funds to get his film off the ground. Kickstarter has been responsible for some major films being made like the Veronica Mars movie starring Kirsten Bell from the Disney film, Frozen.

After hearing Adam’s plight Chris took it upon himself to help him live his dream. So the next day Chris contacted the stars of Charlie’s Farm and put together a video with the likes of Tara Reid and horror icon – Bill Moseley joining force with other cast and crew to put a call out of support to help Adam reach his goal of $15,000.

This has now become Chris Sun’s Crusade to help Adam Harris and to quote his Face- book post:

“4 Minutes of your life can change Adam Harris’s Life and make his dream come true.” – Chris Sun, Film Director – Charlie’s Farm
