The Loved Ones accepted into Toronto International Film Festival

Ambience Entertainment along with Mark Lazarus Productions, Darclight Films and Madman Entertainment have announced that teen horror flick The Loved Ones has been selected for the ‘Midnight Madness’ section of the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.
 
Midnight Madness is a showcase for weird and the wonderful films and has become a favourite of Toronto Film Fest audiences
 
“This year’s Midnight Madness line-up is a showcase of some of the most highly anticipated thrillers and chillers of the year,” said Colin Geddes, TIFF programmer.
 
Directed by Sean Byrne, the recently completed The Loved Ones was filmed in Melbourne and stars Xavier Samuel and Robin McLeavy .  Xavier was  recently cast in Eclipse, the third instalment of the hugely successful Twilight saga, and Robin is about to appear in an international stage production of Streetcar Named Desire with Cate Blanchett.  The cast also includes John Brumpton and Victoria Thaine.

Australian audiences will experience The Loved Ones at it’s World premiere at the Melbourne International Film Festival on Thursday 30 July at the Forum and on 7 August at Great Union in
