The Muppets have returned to the big screen after 12 years.
In one of the most highly-anticipated films of the year, The Muppets follows the world's biggest Muppet fan and his entourage learn of the plan to raze the Muppet Theatre and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. The group stages "The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever" to help save Kermit and the crew, who have gone their separate ways.
The cast includes Jason Segel (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), Amy Adams (Junebug), Chris Cooper (Adaptation) and Rashida Jones (The Social Network).
With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, the Disney film will be released on January 5, 2012 – more than one month after its US release.
