Roll out the red carpet and get camera ready as Foxtel today announced that shooting for season two has begun on the hit reality series, The Real Housewives of Melbourne and is set to premiere early 2015 on Arena.

Season two will see the return of Chyka Keebaugh, Gina Liano, Jackie Gillies, Janet Roach and Lydia Schiavello, who will be joined by two new successful and established Housewives, Gamble Breaux and Pettifleur Berenger.

Andrea Moss has decided not to return for the second season of the hit series.

Foxtel Executive Director of Television, Brian Walsh, said: “This series has literally taken the world by storm. After incredible ratings results on Foxtel for the first series, and now success on Bravo in the US, we are thrilled that a second season has begun production, putting a spotlight on Melbourne with some must-watch characters.

“Foxtel would like to thank Andrea Moss for being one of Australia’s first Real Housewives and we understand her decision not to be part of series two. We wish her much success as she returns to a ‘camera free’ life to focus on her family and help with the successful business of her husband Dr Chris Moss.”

This entertaining 10 x one hour soap-doc provides an insider view of the lifestyles of the wealthy and extravagant women with a revealing insight into their world. And the stage is set for Melbourne’s seven Housewives to deliver more high-end drama, controversy, fiery remarks, classic one-liners and of course showcase their glamorous lifestyles.

The Real Housewives of Melbourne for season 2 are:

Chyka Keebaugh – One of Melbourne’s most liked and well-connected housewives, bubbly, creative go-getter and mother of two teenagers, Chyka spends most of her days running from one meeting to the next as the co-owner of one of Australia’s largest and most successful and extravagant event companies, The Big Group and The Design Depot.

Gamble Breaux – As a contemporary art collector and consultant Gamble loves all things beautiful. She believes in always looking your best, even if that means a little nip and tuck. A big dog lover, Gamble is bubbly and fun and always up for a party.

Gina Liano – Her looks, flamboyance and sense of style cannot hide her love of fashion which is a creative relief from her day job as one of Melbourne’s top barristers. Gina is a strong, assertive single mother of two and her sisters are fashionistas Bettina Liano and Teresa (TL Wood).

Together with her husband Ben, Jackie is focused on growing La Mascara, ready to serve cocktails, bringing a touch of class to any occasion.

Janet Roach – Fabulous and fun is the only way to describe blonde bombshell Janet Roach. Single and loving it, this millionaire property developer is now living life to the max re-discovering herself, her freedom and what makes her happy. Janet is the proud mother of two sons aged 30 and 26.

Pettifleur Berenger – Determined, feisty and glamorous, Pettifleur thrives on a life of accomplishment and luxury. She is a successful property developer, lives in a penthouse in the heart of the city and is mother to three fantastic boys.

Lydia is a very passionate and capable woman; she has a diverse lifestyle and enjoys skiing, fashion, food and flying. Lydia has six children and step-children and loves spending time with her family.

Season one made six relatively unknown women household names and catapulted them into the spotlight with the series becoming Foxtel’s highest rating reality production at the time of launch. The series was also the first franchise outside of the US to screen on Bravo, creating a huge buzz across social media.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is the series that started the Real Housewives franchise which has now spawned series in the cities of Miami, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Washington DC and Vancouver which screen on Arena the home of Housewives. Other Housewives series include Israel, Athens and France.
