Press release from SPAA

Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) has opened registrations for the 2012 SPAA Fringe.

The 'in conversation' session, hosted by Sandy George, will hear Rosemary Blight and Kylie du Fresne sharing their experiences in producing The Sapphires.

THE SAPPHIRES received a standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival and has achieved the number one opening weekend box office for an Australian film this year.

SPAA Fringe is a two-day event comprised of workshops, roundtables, one-on-one sessions, panel discussions, film screenings and social networking events.

The 2012 Fringe will take place from October 26-27th during the inaugural Cockatoo Island Film Festival (CIFF).

SPAA Fringe offers a unique opportunity for the emerging sector to spend quality time with established filmmakers, television executives and other industry professionals.

SPAA is the industry body representing Australian independent film and television producers on all issues affecting the business and creative aspects of screen production.
