the WotWots receive third parents’ choice award

Press release from Adele Feletto Publicity

The colourful learning-based series, the WotWots, has again been acknowledged by Parents’ Choice, this time selecting the property’s interactive website, www.wotwots.com, as a Fall 2011 winner in the website category.

Identified as an “inviting, non-threatening and clever introduction into wildlife appreciation”, the review of the website continues with “The site allows children to join Spotty and Dotty Wot, two alien creatures, as they explore the diverse animal population of the zoo. Through video, games and printables, kids can identify animals, create their own creatures, draw and color pictures and make their own alien music. By taking a subtle approach to environmentalism, the site helps foster an appreciation for animals while catering to the natural curiosity of kids. The Sneak-a-Peek, a virtual telescope, is particularly neat and lets kids zoom in on different animals and watch them in their habitat. Kids can also watch their free-hand computer drawing come to life and dance around the drawing board or enjoy a old-school coloring with a plethora of free printable from coloring pages to party decorations”.

The website was recently re-launched offering fun downloads and exclusive competitions for kids. A new dedicated parents section features regular informative blogs, “Martins Online Shorts” from co-creater, Martin Baynton http://www.wotwots.com/americas/on-line-shorts/.

“Our website is the go-to fan destination for all things the WotWots so to be recognised by Parents’ Choice in the website category endorses our approach in the digital space. We have created a safe entertaining and educational environment for children to interact with SpottyWot and DottyWot as well as a location for parents to understand the foundation and rationale of the WotWots” said co-creator, Martin Baynton.

the WotWots has been awarded two previous Parents’ Choice Awards – one for the television series in the Spring Television 2011 category and one for the property’s first e-book, ‘Lanky Landing Legs’, available at iTunes stores globally.

With broadcasts in 90 territories including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Korea, Middle East and Poland, the WotWots was recently sold to HBO Family Latin America for PAY-TV and VOD rights. American Greetings Properties recently signed on for the worldwide licensing and merchandising rights to the popular preschool property.
