[press release from Tsuki]

Thought Equity Motion, the world leader in providing access to high quality film, video and music content announced today that its long term partnership with National Geographic Digital Motion has expanded, making Thought Equity Motion responsible for all National Geographic stock footage licensing worldwide.

Now all National Geographic stock footage, including stock footage purchased from the National Geographic Digital Motion website, http://www.ngdigitalmotion.comwill be managed by Thought Equity Motion.

The relationship between the two companies has evolved over the past three years and today National Geographic entrusts all stock footage sales to Thought Equity Motion. This change allows National Geographic Digital Motion to focus its content sales efforts on short-form programming and long-form programming for the non-theatric market.

“This business decision is the result of Thought Equity Motion continually surpassing our expectations, from their licensing expertise to their technology solutions,” says Jocelyn Shearer, VP Video Products and Archive Management at National Geographic Television.

“They’ve proven they’re the clear leader in stock footage licensing and for the past year their web platform has powered our online stock library. We will rely on Thought Equity Motion to manage and grow our stock footage sales so we can capitalize on the great demand for National Geographic branded short and long-form programming for education, broadband and original productions.”

National Geographic Digital Motion (www.ngdigitialmotion.com) provides high-quality clips, free footage research and comprehensive customer service; this experience will not change for customers and National Geographic’s expert research teams and senior management will continue to play a role.

Thought Equity Motion will manage all online stock footage research requests and sales; the transition should be virtually seamless for current National Geographic Digital Motion stock footage customers.

The ngdigitalmotion.com website will continue to offer unsurpassed content from producers around the globe, and will continue to grow as thousands of new clips are added each year.

“Our partnership with National Geographic Digital Motion has grown over the past three years and has played an important role in the success of our company,” said Kevin Schaff, CEO, Thought Equity Motion.

“We are extremely proud to have reached this agreement that extends our relationship. Now we are bringing together National Geographic’s highly-sought after footage collection, our sales team’s deep experience in licensing content for all media, and our technology to maximize National Geographic’s position in the stock footage marketplace.

National Geographic’s online stock footage library is built on our industry-leading video delivery technology that allows customers to search, preview, purchase and download full-resolution video files on demand – this superior user experience is just one more way we are bringing value to National Geographic Digital Motion.”
