Two Aussie producers will head to TIFF for co-production masterclass

Applications are open for the Producers Lab Toronto, running during this year's Toronto International Film Festival and designed to facilitate co-production and networking.

Screen Australia will select two Australian producers and provide up to $5,000 travel support per producer.

The Lab is an initiative organised by European Film Promotion in collaboration with the Ontario Media Development Corporation and TIFF, and brings together producers from Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

Taking place over three days, from September 6-9, it's open to producers who have co-production experience or a sufficient track record as a viable co-production partner.

Applicants must have produced at least one feature film, with priority given to producers who have had a recent film released domestically, sold internationally and screened at a significant international festival.

The deadline for applications is Friday 17 June. Decisions will be made mid-July.
