US VOD deal for Yogawoman

The international journey for locally made, award-winning documentary Yogawoman continues with the announcement of a Video-on-Demand deal between Second Nature Films and Gravitas Ventures in the US.

“The new deal creates unprecedented audience potential for Yogawoman,” said producer Michael Mcintyre from Second Nature Films. “The film is now available online in 41 countries on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Plus, Sony Playstation, Telus and Xbox to name a few.”

The agreement is one of many the filmmakers have made to grow the audience base for the film.

Earlier this year they signed a DVD deal with Passion River that will see Yogawoman rolled out in 890 Barnes and Nobles book stores and 390 Whole Foods Stores throughout the US in time for Christmas.

An international TV rights deal was also secured for the film with TVF International in the UK.

Yogawoman, which examines how yoga has enriched the lives of women around the world, had its US theatrical premiere in 2012 via Shadow Distribution, screening in more than 30 cinemas.

The documentary  played on more than 60 screens in Australia and New Zealand on five in Japan.
