Victorian film and TV projects to share in $865,000

Six film and television projects will receive a share in $865,000 in the latest round of Film Victoria's  Production Investment program.

We’re thrilled to continue the financial year with another solid round of funding to support screen businesses to bring their stories to the screen. The successful projects are:

Feature film
FORCE OF DESTINY – Paul Cox's next feature

Documentary
HEAD FIRST (series two) – Head First Media
FIRST CONTACT – Blackfella Films
THE WHISTLEBLOWERS – Mint Pictures and Identity Films

Fiction television
HOUSE HUSBANDS (series three) – Playmaker Media Australia
THE TIME OF OUR LIVES (series two) – JAHM Pictures.

CEO Jenni Tosi said the diverse slate of projects funded in this round reflected the significant production activity taking place in Victoria right now – activity driven by local screen practitioners.

"From a compelling feature film from iconic filmmaker Paul Cox and Maggie Miles to repeat series of two popular television dramas and a strong showing of documentaries, these projects are expected to create 650 jobs and deliver an estimated $18.9 million boost to the Victorian economy,” Ms Tosi said.
