Victorian producer bound for London on fellowship

Victorian TV producer Jessica Leslie is embarking on a Film Vic International Fellowship with Company Pictures in London.

For the past six years Jessica has been an associate producer, co-producer and producer on Victorian television programs, working on the highly successful DANCE ACADEMY series and its accompanying websites (which have won international awards).

She is currently working on developing her own slate of television projects for her production company, Wonderland Pictures.

As the recipient of the Film Victoria International Fellowship (self-brokered), Jessica will spend six weeks working with Company Pictures and expanding her skills in business development processes and story/script development.

Company Pictures is one of the UK's largest independent film and television drama production companies. It has a broad slate of projects and has its productions have included ELIZABETH I, SHAMELESS, WILD AT HEART, SKINS, and THE LAKES.

Film Victoria’s International Fellowships program supports early and mid-career Victorian screen practitioners to gain international experience, develop craft and technical skills, build networks and increase expertise.

Two types of fellowship are available as part of the program – self-brokered and Film Victoria brokered – giving practitioners the flexibility to design their own opportunity in collaboration with a host company of their choice, or to apply for opportunities identified by Film Victoria as they become available.
