WA Governor endorses More 4 Me

Press release from Creation Box Films

As the world converges on Perth in the lead-up to CHOGM, His Excellency Mr Malcolm McCusker, AO QC, Governor of Western Australia has commended and endorsed an international award winning film by WA writer/director, Lincoln Fenner.

Following his recent media appeal for Western Australians ‘to dig deep and give to charities’, the Governor has personally endorsed the documentary 'More 4 Me' – a global human rights film shot by a two-man crew travelling around the world for an intensive four- week period.

In the face of the global financial crisis, 'More 4 Me' follows Fenner as he travels across five continents in search of why we constantly crave for ‘more’.

He commended Fenner and Cinematographer Andrew Hooper for making “such a thought provoking, interesting and compassionate work”, saying he was “honoured to endorse the film”.

The Governor has called it an “important film, combining professionalism with a very strong message which is quite inspiring”.

“The action in donating 75% of the film’s profits to a number of aid organisations sets a great example of selflessness and underscores the sincerity of the message which the film conveys,” said the Governor.

From the outset, Fenner set a mandate to donate 75% of the film’s profits to the aid organisations featured in the film. As a result Creation Box Films was recently able to donate AUD$11,000 across the five major charities.

After winning the Times Square Audience Award for Best Documentary at the recent New York City International Film Festival, the Governor and Mrs McCusker offered their warm and sincere congratulations and wished every success for the film’s distribution.

Creation Box Films is currently receiving offers from distributors all around the world as it finalises its plans for More 4 Me’s international distribution.
