ACS State and Territory Awards presentation dates announced

Press release from ACS

Dates for the annual Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) State & Territory Awards presentations have been announced.

Western Australia and South Australia will be the first in the line up to present their prestigious 31st State Awards on Saturday, November 5, for the first time in Western Australia.

“We’re all very excited that the Awards will soon be under way”, said Ron Johanson ACS, National President of the ACS. “As always, we’ll have a great line up of candidates this year and I’m very much looking forward to attending all the Awards presentations.”

There are 19 categories this year from Student Cinematography to Local News, Multi Camera News, Current Affairs, International News, Television Commercials, Feature Films and for the first time a category specifically for Virtual Cinematography. Online award entries will be available soon on the ACS website.

Many sponsors and supporters, both State and National make the Awards presentations possible. “We can’t thank our sponsors enough for contributing to the recognition of some of Australia’s best talent in Cinematography. More and more, our Australian talent is being recognised overseas for a variety of projects, and the ACS State & Territory Awards is just one of the vehicles that help us acknowledge and highlight the quality that Australian Cinematographers have to offer”, said Ron.
