Emergence Creative Festival’s Headline Keynote Speakers Announced

Emergence Creative Festival, Western Australia's premier creative festival, has announced that top Hollywood Musical Supervisor PJ Bloom (Glee, Game of Thrones, Nip/Tuck, American Horror Story), communications expert Carolyn Miller from ABC’s Gruen Planet, award-winning Creative Director Ben Akers from The Republic of Everyone and Jonathon Kneebone, writer/director from The Glue Society will be amongst the headline keynote speakers at the second annual Festival in Margaret River from 19 to 21 February 2014.

Emergence Creative Festival is a conference with a difference, a unique three-day event themed the ‘currency of creativity’ held at five iconic venues across Margaret River, featuring speakers from around the globe, exploring the ever increasing value of creativity and its role – now and in the future – in
driving business, innovation, communication, education and the economy.

The event provides the ultimate platform for creatives and innovators working in the advertising, film, music, communications, design or digital industries to bring ideas to life, develop new partnerships and work in an inter-disciplinary environment, opening new gateways of learning.

Spanning the three days will be workshops, master classes, screenings of innovative content, breakfasts, live music performances, winery dinners and even a surfing competition, providing fantastic opportunities to network with like-minded creative and tech professionals.

The festival will take place across five iconic and picturesque venues in Margaret River, including the main conference venue, the Vasse Felix Art Gallery, Cape Mentelle, The White Elephant, Settlers Tavern and Leeuwin Estate, which will host the Gala Dinner.

The inaugural 2013 event attracted high profile, successful creative professionals to the speaker panel including LA-based producer Mike Rosenstein from Ben Stiller’s production company, Red Hour Films, The Gruen Transfer’s Adam Ferrier, jet-setting commercial and film director Richard Bullock, co-founder and director from London-based ‘digital creativity initiative’ OneDotZero Shane Walter and Legendary venture capitalist and ‘kite boarding king of Silicon Valley’ Bill Tai.

Emergence Creative was founded by Creative Corner, a not-for-profit organization which promotes the creative industries living in the southwest, the concept of decentralized creative living and collaboration of the creative sectors.

The 2014 Emergence Creative Festival will be officially launched at The Brown Fox at 5pm on Thursday 28 November 2013 and the complete speaker lineup and programme will be announced soon.
