The Flickerfest road show gathers steam with over 21 successful touring events across Australia and 25 still to come!  Including Perth, Broome, Carnarvon, WA and Young and Port Macquarie NSW this weekend!
Don’t miss our much loved collection of award winning International and Australian short film highlights handpicked from a record 2300 entries screening at a town near you!

Highlights of Best of Australia shorts include WA premier of ‘Yardbird’ winner of Best Australian Film at Flickerfest 2013, a masterful film directed by Michael Spiccia and written by Julius Avery (both currently in WA working on Julius’s first feature film ‘Son Of A Gun’); ‘Lois’ starring Academy®Award nominated acting legend Jacki Weaver and the quirky and highly crafted animation ‘A Cautionary Tail’ starring the voices of David Wenham, Cate Blanchett and Barry Otto.

Best of International programme 1 features the quirky and magical Route 43 Miracle from Sweden and charming French/Canadian film ‘Chef De Meute,’ officially selected at Cannes Film Festival and Curfew from the USA, newly crowned winner of Best Live Action Short at this years Academy®Awards.

Best of International 2 features three award winning international short from Flickerfest Sydney including Tiger Boy from Italy, winner of the Renault Award For Best Short Film, the hilarious ‘Centrifuge Brain Project’ from Germany, winner of the SAE award For Best Digital Short and Edmond Was A Donkey from Canada, winner of the Yoram Gross Award for Best Animation at Flickerfest 2013 .

Our Short Laughs programme features the funniest films from at home and overseas, including ‘Status Update’ from Australia, including Spanish comedy ‘Life Vest Under Your Seat’ and the funny and topical social media film ‘Friend Request Pending’ starring the Queen of stage and screen Judi Dench.
