Foxtel appointments for owned & operated channels

Foxtel has announced a number of new appointments in its Owned & Operated Channels Group which includes FOX8, Arena TV, The Comedy Channel, W. Channel, Fox Classics, BIO, Crime & Investigation Network, The History Channel, Main Event and Foxtel Box Office.
 
Brian Walsh, Executive Director of TV & Marketing at Foxtel said; Foxtel’s Owned and Operated Channels continue to set the bar in subscription television and I am pleased to announce these promotions and new appointments for the group”.
 
Penny Win has been appointed the new Group Channel Manager of W. Channel and Fox Classics. Win has chalked up many years of experience in Australia and New Zealand, in both terrestrial and subscription television and has been instrumental in the evolution of both W. Channel and Fox Classics as two of Foxtel’s most successful operations.
 
Brendon Moo has been promoted to Head of Factual Channels – Foxtel and Senior Executive of Publicity. Moo will assume overall responsibility for Foxtel’s Factual Channel Group, managing the commercial and strategic relationships for The History Channel and Crime & Investigation Network. As Senior Executive of Publicity, Moo will manage the communications for the launch of Foxtel’s High Definition and Next Generation product.
 
Stephen Baldwin has been promoted to Foxtel General Manager of Television Operations, in addition to his role as Group Program Manager for Fox 8, Arena and BIO. Baldwin will be responsible for Foxtel’s management of Ratings & Research, Strategy and Policy, Censorship and Captioning, Interactivity and Industry Relations, with Steve Langdon promoted to Baldwin’s previous portfolio of Program Operations Manager.
 
Foxtel is also pleased to announce Alex Ristevski as the new Channel Manager for The Comedy Channel. Ristevski, who previously worked at Foxtel in Advertising Sales and On Air, rejoins the company from GTV9 Melbourne where he has been an Executive Producer on many light entertainment shows, such as Wine Me, Dine Me and Postcards
 
Ristevski started his TV career at Australia’s original home of comedy production, Artist Services, and since then has produced everything from big event TV to short form interstitials.
 
‘Alex has a genuine passion for comedy, having written and performed stand up around Melbourne, culminating with an appearance on The Comedy Channel’s Headliners. He is an ideal choice to lead the channel forward,’Walsh said.
