Gold Coast Hinterland to be the prime location for feature film/series G7

Press release

Gold Coast film production company, Gena8 Studios, has earmarked the Gold Coast Hinterland to be the prime location for its first home grown Science fiction feature film / series, G7 (Garrison 7), which commences filming September 2013.

"Australia has great locations for filming and amazing talent. And when I say talent, I'm also talking about those people behind the cameras, lighting, costume, make-up, etc, who help bring a production to life." said Ryctor, Founder of Gena8 Studios and creator of G7.

Sponsors have rallied behind Gena8 Studios G7 Project to kick start this Gold Coast feature into production.

Set in 2027, G7 is a science fiction saga that chronicles the lives of 7 unique individuals, who, although from different worlds, must put aside their differences and unite in order to defeat a common enemy.

Former Australian Red Beret Paratrooper turned actor Ryctor, (Matrix, Narnia Chronicles) heads the cast as the show's hero, Commander Tom Garrison, a loyal soldier who is betrayed and branded a traitor and outlaw.
The cast also includes local Gold Coast actors James Richards (Agent Elite, Sunny and Ray Ray) as Seargent Hank Grimm and martial arts sensation, winner of Hollywood's Best Female Action Star Naomi Karpati as Jannix Ra.
Leading the award-winning crew is veteran cinematographer, Andrew Condor ACS of Terra Nova and Peter Pan fame and Stunt Co-ordinator, Darko Tuscan who hails from the Matrix trilogies and The Great Raid.

"Although G7 has a science fiction element, the characters are complex and very story driven. Throw in some great stunt action by the Matrix's Darko Tuskan and you have an exciting recipe for success" says Gena8 Studio producer, Danielle Brewer.
Casting 'G7' will be Stuart Freeman founder of AIF (Acting In Films) and former assistant director (Dead Calm, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome).

Gena8 Studios has employed the talents of Emmy Award winning local Jason Baird from JMBFX Studio (The Matrix, The Pacific, Pitch Black) and Studio TMX (The Great Gatsby, Wolverine, Star Wars and Superman Returns), to headline the creature and special effects department.

G7 is scheduled for a 2014 worldwide release to coincide with Gena8 Studios sister project, The Dangerman comic and animated feature, to be released at both Australian and International Comic Cons in 2014, including the exclusive Stan Lee Comiket and San Diego Comic Cons in California.

— The Dangerman script is currently under option for development in the USA.—
