KOJO appoints new General Manager

KOJO has announced the appointment of a new General Manager as part of their eastern seaboard expansion.

Digital executive Stephen Lord will join the creative storytelling company in their Melbourne office.

He comes from Next Digital where he was employed as the General Manager of Strategy and Marketing

“Stephen has real strategic digital pedigree and will be a great asset to KOJO as we grow our business nationally,” KOJO Managing Director Dale Roberts said. “We are looking to continually build on the creative storytelling firepower we offer our clients including creative agencies, government, film and the corporate sector. Stephen’s industry experience and ecommerce knowledge will be instrumental in that.”

KOJO currently has work in production across Australia and overseas including two feature films, an international television series, multiple digital projects and television commercials and a host of national live events.

The company has been based in Melbourne for the past eight years but is currently in talks about expanding to Sydney.

“Stephen will initially be focussed on integrating our digital, content and postproduction capabilities into our current service offering in Melbourne and Sydney,” Roberts said.

“He will be working closely with our National Creative Director Mike Wilson, Head of Digital Emma Rhys and Head of Events Daniel Tippett.”

Lord’s appointment comes as KOJO is in the midst of the busiest quarter in its 21-year history.

“I’m thrilled to be joining such a dynamic and innovative team at KOJO,” Lord said.

“Not only does KOJO have an outstanding foundation in creative storytelling, it has the technology and expertise at its disposal to reach audiences across any communication medium.”
