Magna Systems and Engineering announce new systems architect

Furthering their commitment to the Asia Pacific region Magna Systems and Engineering today announced that Barry Pegg has joined their team as Systems Architect.

Pegg brings with him a wealth of systems integration experience having most recently been Director of Asia Pacific Services for SeaChange where he was responsible for a team of 14 in broadcast and VOD applications, installations, technical support, sales and service.

Magna Systems CEO David Bowers said, “We are delighted to have such a consummate industry professional as Barry join our team. Barry has been responsible for some of Asia Pacific’s largest system integration projects including Sony Pictures (SPTL) Singapore, ABS CBN Manila, CCTV China, CNBC (TV18) India, Turner Broadcasting Hong Kong and Southern Cross Broadcasting Australia. Barry’s appointment significantly bolsters our team across the region as he will be working closely with our offices in Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney, Auckland and Jakarta.”

Pegg reports to Magna Systems Group Sales Manager Stephen Clemesha and is responsible for the service and support of existing customers’ and new clients’ systems integration projects.

Clemesha added, “Barry has significant experience and knowledge of how systems integration, robust transmission, video playout and large-scale edge playout works in the Asia Pacific region. He brings global knowledge to our team and will be an excellent resource for all of our clients wishing to embark on major file-based solutions and projects.”

Pegg’s role also sees him responsible for researching and evaluating new products to meet customer requirements, working closely with Magna’s development teams to manage product development and distribution channels.
