New event to focus on factual screen content and technology

AIDC presents a new event in February 2015 entitled NET-WORK-PLAY. The three-day event, focusing on the collision of factual screen content and technology, will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from February  23-25.

AIDC defines ‘content’ as television and streaming product, with an emphasis on documentary, specialist factual, unscripted programs and factual entertainment. NET-WORK-PLAY pushes this discussion into the current era of media convergence by engaging leaders in technology and business entrepreneurship; adding marketers, startups and digital providers to the traditional mix of broadcasters, filmmakers and a diversity of production companies.

Executive Director Joost den Hartog said, “Media convergence is at a tipping point. Audiences are digital now. What our industry needs is new partnerships and new tools. NET-WORK-PLAY will facilitate the discussions and relationships that will lead to future content collaboration and audience engagement.”

NET-WORK-PLAY connects the best minds in quality factual screen content, broadcasting and technology from around the world, offering traditional and new market opportunities.

With a focus on networking, the new event provides ample opportunities for attendees to build relationships, share knowledge, collaborate and showcase their company’s services. NET-WORK-PLAY features a single-stream conference program, including keynote sessions and workshops, complemented by facilitated networking, social events and a buzzing trade floor.

NET-WORK-PLAY appeals to anyone working in television, production, distribution and content creation, as well as to those interested in online consumer content services, content marketing, digitisation, audience relations and media convergence as a whole.

NET-WORK-PLAY is presented by AIDC Ltd, a 27 year old peak organisation for the factual film and television industries. AIDC’s annual events have a strong reputation for bringing the Australian and international factual content industry together for an extensive conference program and marketplace.
