SPA celebrates 60 years with national roadshow

Screen Producers Australia (SPA) is celebrating 60 years. To commemorate, the organisation plans to kick off a national roadshow early next month to explore the priorities facing the industry.

The roadshow includes an invitation to the broad production community to contribute to SPA’s agenda setting and policy work, and will include:

•    a policy update drawing on findings from SPA’s annual business survey;
•    insights to post-election policy priorities and positioning;
•    an update on recent industrial reforms; and
•    a detailed members-only workshop about the newly announced ATRRA agreement.

The roadshow will start in Melbourne on August 2 and finish at the SPA Awards at the Screen Forever conference on November 17.

“60 years is an extraordinary foundation for the organisation reflecting much of the history of our media industry as we know it,” said SPA CEO Matthew Deaner.

“It goes without saying that many of our most highly regarded and respected producers and production executives within the industry have contributed to the organisation’s history, and its future. It is important and vital to our industry that we remain united to address continued changes that affect all our individual businesses."
