Stars turn out again for ‘Rake’

Press Release

A host of stars including Elizabeth Debicki (The Great Gatsby), Magda Szubanski, Dan Wyllie, Bruce Spence, Aden Young, and Genevieve Lemon, will guest star in series three of ABC TV’s critical and ratings success, Rake, currently in production
in Sydney.

Richard Roxburgh is back as Cleaver Greene, the AACTA-winning role he co-created (Best Lead Actor in a Television Drama 2013). Cleaver’s long-suffering friends and pugnacious foes also return: Matt Day, Danielle Cormack, Russell Dykstra, Caroline Brazier, Adrienne Pickering, Kate
Box, Damien Garvey, Robyn Malcolm, and Steve Le Marquand.

Jessica Hobbs takes on a producing role and again directs alongside directors, Jonathan Teplitzky, Rowan Woods and Kate Dennis.
Amidst international success as writer and executive producer of the US version of Rake (Fox), co-creator and producer, Peter Duncan has written series three of Rake with series 1 and 2 collaborator, Andrew Knight. "I am absolutely confident that my absence from set this year will attract even more amazing talent and inspire our fabulous cast and crew to greater heights," said Duncan. Ian Collie of Essential Media is producing his third series of Rake, with Peter Duncan, Richard Roxburgh and Jessica Hobbs.

ABC TV Head of Fiction Carole Sklan said, “The incomparable Richard Roxburgh as the irrepressible Cleaver Greene is unfailingly entertaining. Series three of Rake plunges us into more heights and depths of human folly.”
