The box office Kings, of Mykonos

THE KINGS OF MYKONOS: WOG BOY 2 has taken A$4.3M at the Australian box office after only three weeks. The film also opened to great figures in Greece on June 3, with 43,000 tickets sold over the first weekend, on 50 screens, coming in at second place to Sex and the City 2 which sold 50,000 tickets on 100 screens.

When the highly anticipated sequel opened in Australian late last month it came in at number two, behind Robin Hood, easily beating all other films opening that week. THE KINGS OF MYKONOS: WOG BOY 2 took A$1,819,000 in its opening weekend making it the biggest opening weekend for an Australian film this year, in front of Bran Nue Dae which opened with A$1,611,000 and went on to gross over A$7.5 million.

These excellent results put THE KINGS OF MYKONOS: WOG BOY 2 at tenth spot in the Top 10 Australian Openings of all time.
