The Natalie Miller Fellowship Steering Committee announces new Patron

The Natalie Miller Fellowship Steering Committee is pleased to announce Australian Business woman Carol Schwartz as a new Patron, co-sharing this prestigious position with Australian Actress and Patron Claudia Karvan.

Established in 2011, in recognition of the unique contribution of Natalie Miller AO, the Natalie Miller Fellowship aims to award a grant of up to $10,000 annually to a woman who has demonstrated initiative, entrepreneurship and excellence working in the Australian screen industries and who has a professional development proposal that will assist her to reach her full potential and benefit the wider Australian screen community.

“Carol Schwartz is one of Australia’s most dynamic business leaders and a keen supporter of womens’ leadership programs. We are delighted to have Carol as joint Patron for the Natalie Miller Fellowship. We look forward to Carol’s guidance and business knowledge to help the professional development of women working in the Australian Film Industry,” said Chrissy Thomson, Founder and member of the NMF Steering Committee.

Spanning a career of over two decades and awarded an Order of Australia in 2006, Carol Schwartz has been nominated an "eminent business leader" by the Australian government. Carol has conducted significant inquiries on behalf of government, chaired major government boards as well as chairing and participating in high level private company and listed company boards. She has extensive experience in business, property, the arts, community organisations and has been a director on a large number of public company and government boards.

“Natalie Miller AO has been a pioneer and innovative leader in the Australian film industry. I see it as an absolute privilege to be a patron of the foundation named in her honour," said Carol Schwartz.

Carol's current roles include; Chair, Creative Partnerships Australia, Chair, Our Community, Chair, Women’s Leadership Institute Australia, Director, Stockland, Director, Bank of Melbourne, amongst many others.

The Natalie Miller Fellowship is funded from donations made to the Natalie Miller Fellowship Endowment Fund and through the generous support of Film Victoria.
