the WotWots to make first public appearance in Canada

SpottyWot and DottyWot from the internationally successful children’s animation series, the WotWots will make their first ever public appearance in Canada at the Capital Parent & Kid’s Show, Ottawa on April 2 and April 3, 2011.

the WotWots will meet and greet their young Canadian fans at the Nepean Sportsplex.

The Capital Parent & Kid’s Show is in its 10th year and is a great day out with entertainment, family health, best summer camps and school options making it perfect for parents expecting their first child right up to families with young teens.

the WotWots launched in Canada in February 201o on Treehouse and is seen in over eight million homes across the region. This colourful, energetic and entertaining 52 x 10 minute series is broadcast in 32 territories including Australia, Canada, Korea, the Middle East, Poland and the Unites States of America.

the WotWots follows the adventures of two adorable siblings from outer space, SpottyWot and DottyWot. These delightful creatures come to explore planet earth in their steam-powered spaceship and arrive in the middle of a zoo. The series was filmed in Australia and New Zealand with all the adventures built on one central ingredient which defines the series – the joy of learning and discovery.

the WotWots is produced by Pukeko Pictures and made at Richard Taylor’s Weta Workshop. Pukeko Pictures is a new business partnership between Academy Award winner Richard Taylor the co-founder and creative lead of Weta Workshop (Lord of the Rings, King Kong), and internationally acclaimed author and children’s television creator, Martin Baynton. Taylor and Baynton previously teamed up to create the award winning children’s program, Jane and the Dragon.
