Hugo Weaving and Angus Sampson are confirmed to attend Q&A preview screenings of The Mule in Sydney and Melbourne ahead of the film's November 21 digital release, with other cast members yet to be announced.

Following the screenings, the actors will speak about their feature, which Sampson also co-directed and co-wrote, before opening the discussion to the audience. Weaving and Sampson will also undertake a publicity tour the week of release, completing interviews with Australian media.

Featuring an ensemble cast, the Melbourne and Bangkok-set film is a darkly comic ride through crime, corruption and one man’s ability to defy his bodily functions.

Inspired by true events, it ttells the story of a naive man who is detained by federal police with lethal narcotics hidden in his stomach. Alone and afraid, ‘the Mule’ makes a desperate choice; to withhold the evidence, literally, becoming a 'human time bomb'; dragging cops, criminals and family into his impossible escapade.

The film also stars Leigh Whannell, Ewen Leslie, Geoff Morrell, Georgina Haig, Noni Hazlehurst and John Noble.

Following premieres at 2014’s South by Southwest festival & BFI London Film Festival and screenings at Busan in Korea, Entertainment One will release the film on November 21 and will be available to download and own from iTunes, Google Play, Sony Playstation, Microsoft xBox and Dendy Direct. It's available to pre order-on iTunes.

The title will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and on digital rental on December 3.
