Winners of Rider Film Festival announced.

Candid Projects is pleased to announce the winners of the first annual short skateboarding film festival, the “Rider Film Festival” (“RFF”), which was held last night to a full house at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi Beach.

Dedicated to the passion and technical skill of skateboarding, the festival welcomed 13 short film finalists from local, national and international filmmakers (Sweden, USA, Cambodia and Japan).

BEST FILM was awarded to "Barking Nowhere" by Christopher Sanitate (Sweden)
2ND PLACE was awarded to "Wheels to Grow – Skateistan Cambodia" by Vinz Junior (Australia/Cambodia)
3RD PLACE was awarded to "Skateboard Old Guy" by Kenichi Arai (Japan)
GROM AWARD (under 14 category) was awarded to "Jake Home – Natural Habitat" by Daniel Merson (Australia)
PEOPLES CHOICE was awarded to "Speed Streaks" by Bondi local Sunny Salt, who was also in the under-14 category (Australia)

The RFF is affiliated with the US based International Skateboard Film Festival. The winner of the BEST FILM category ("Barking Nowhere") will be screened at the ISFF in Los Angeles in 2014.

All films will be available to watch on the Rider Film Festival's Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/riderfilmfestival. We will also be adding additional stills to an album on the Facebook page.

The judging panel consisted of the worlds top professional skateboarders in town for Vans BOWL-A-RAMA™ Bondi 2014 “Festival of the Skateboard” which is celebrating its 10th birthday:
